History

Vascular Surgery is currently undergoing a dynamic phase of very rapid development. Recently it has become a separate branch specialty, and work is underway to provide the status of basspecialitet. The endovascular technology is evolving rapidly. Currently a generation change is under way. More and more young professionals are trained. We get an increasing number of female vascular surgeons, and at Karolinska half of the staff is now women.
